Sarcasm and Whimsy

Life shouldn't be a trek to the grave with the idea of arriving safely in a nice, well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, whiskey & chocolate in hand, body used up, worn out & screaming, "WOO! WHAT A RIDE!"

5 tips for coping with a clique

Here’s what you should know about dealing with nasty classmates:

1. Remember this is NOT your fault. You haven’t done anything to deserve this kind of meanness.
2. You are not alone. Lots of kids have to deal with this every day.
3. Don’t suffer in silence. Talk to someone (preferably an adult at the school and/or your parent).
4. Find at least one friend whom you can trust.
5. Do NOT try to retaliate. Meanness only turns into more meanness.

Been there, done all that.

Thanks for the shout–out, ladyBlayde. I’m honored by your interest in my work. One correction. while I am an author ( http://books.anniefox.com ) Cruel’s Not Cool! isn’t a book, so no one “wrote” it. Cruel’s Not Cool! is an anti-bullying forum. http://cruelsnotcool.com I founded it, about six months ago.

    Thanks!

    In friendship,
    Annie
